Color Me Rad

Mondayyy,, Already.???
I didn't want to even look at you today. I am tired, are you sure we can't have just one more day.?
Anyways,, my weekend.
I volunteered along side of Kati’s work at the Color Me Rad 5K this past Saturday. Who know throwing colored cornstarch at people could be so much fun and such a good workout? I am still sore from doing the 2 hours of continual squats while getting the color from the box to the runners clothing. It was so much fun though; so many laughs that day.

Today is the last day of Blogtember,
Monday, September 30: Share a photo of something old. Maybe something that has personal history for you, that was passed down to you, and that has special meaning to you. Tell us about it and why it's special.
I treasure all the old pictures that my parents took while growing up. To me there is just something special about all the memories that are enclosed within one single picture.

Finallyyy Fridayyy

Dear Friday: I am so happy you’re here. This week has been a whirlwind of long days and tiring hours. I never though I would be this tired running after a toddler all day for 3 days in a row. But, man I am pooped. Dear Fall: You are in the air and I am loving it. I love fall, it has to be one of my absolute favorite season. Something about the leaves changing, air cooling down, hot cocoa in hand, pumpkin spice lattes at starbuck’s, and the fact that I can boots almost everyday. I am in love with you and I am so happy your finally making your presence. Dear Starbucks: You are draining my pocket book these last few weeks, because I simply cant resist your delicious fall drinks. We have a much love hate relationship right now. Dear Kati: Color Me Rad is tomorrow,,, and I am pumped up! Can’t wait to help you out with the booth. It is going to be so much fun, even though it will be freezing outside. I am super excited.! Dear FB Friends: As a part of blogtemeber I am supposed to write a little letter to you. So this is what I have to say. I really cant stand all the drama about your lives that you post. I mean be cruel, but I think it is very unnecessary to post constantly about all the crap you and your other half are going through, or if you hate some girl at school, or blah blah blah. I use facebook to keep updated with my family and I think it is time for a deep clean of friends and cut out all the crappy drama of FB.

we have all been there

Today on Blogtember:
Wednesday, September 25: Write about a time you screwed up - a mistake you made.

We have all been there a time or two, when we want to kick ourselves for the decisions we just made. Then again, if we hadn't made it and learn from it; where would we be in life.? Mistakes in my eyes are all about the after affect, learning and moving on. I decided that I am not going to go into detail about mistakes I have made, because I have learned from them and I have moved on. I am not perfect and I know I never will be. There for, I will make mistakes and I will continue to learn from them.

I have been staring at this computer with nothing but writers block for way too long now. I would continue with today’s post on blogtember, Tuesday, September 24: Review a book, place, or product. Sadly though, I have nothing that I can think of to review. I haven’t read a good book lately, and writing about a bad one isn’t worth it to me. Review a place, nothing comes to mind. I could talk about the place I have been to eat at, or the parks I have seen, then again it would just be constant repeat of other posts. I go to the same places all the time. Product, I mean I guess I could do that…. I could tell you the mascara I love or the hairspray I use day after day. Then it hit me.. I am going to tell you about the two people and the service I get most excited to see; my nail tech and my hairstylist.

I have been seeing Lisa Thompson for quite a few months now. I heard about her from Kati my best friend. I was at the point where I didn’t want acrylic nails anymore and had had them off for a couple of months. I really hated having plain nails though and shellac didn’t work for me. So after finding Lisa; I was hooked. She works inside of Salon Khroma here in St. George. She is fun, bubbly, and really does a great job. Here are just a few of my favorite nails recently.

Salon Khroma is rated #1 here in Southern Utah and after a few nail appointment the stylist start to get to know you and talk with you. I had asked a few of the girls there about my hair and the things that I have become used to with my last hair stylist before I moved back to St. George. I love my hairstylist in North Dakota because she knew exactly how my hair reacted and the way she cut it always looked amazing for my face. Long story short, I booked an appointment with Spencer and I haven’t been disappointed since. I moved to Utah with really dark dark hair and we have slowly been going back to a brighter lighter blonde. I am loving the cuts and colors I get each time.

If you want any of the information for the two amazing people about,
just leave me a comment and I will send the information your way.
Hope everyone has a splendid day..
much love, kenzie

Now For BLOGTEMBER
Monday, September 23:

A "life lately" post. What you're up to, how you're feeling, how you're doing on your goals, etc.

Bonus points for great photos!

Life Lately..

Honestly, has been amazing, adventurous, spontaneous, fun, and memorable.

I am finally in a spot where I have come to terms with everything that has happened in my life and I am ready to move forward with a bright and promising future. I am so blessed to have my family and friends so close to me and involved in so much of my life. I am so grateful for the trial I have been given and have overcome. I believe I am such a strong woman now due to it; I know what I want and I am not afraid to go after it. It has been said before “Everything happens for a reason” and I can honestly say, I believe in this saying 110%.

I have so many fun adventures lately; I can’t even believe that I have had them all.

I want to share a few of my favorite ones with all of you.
Luke Bryan concert this past weekend.
Selfie from Thursday. Loving my hair.
All the days we have spent at the lake.
Spending My Birthday in Vegas with My Bestie.
Mandalay Bay was the perfect spot for my birthday celebration.
Summer fun was: Nights under the stars, Dinner Dates, and Lake Weekends.
Tuachan Shows.
This one was Thoroughly Modern Millie.
The best part of my summer,, getting to spend it all with this beauty.
isn't my best friend the hottest?
I love being so close with my brother, we do so many things together
and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Getting to spend the amount of time we have with Torie this past year,
has been the best time of all. I love having my sister in my life.
and I love the crazy/fun adventures we always have together.

What is YOUR comfort.?

Friday, September 20: React to this term: comfort.
comfort like:
you favorite pair of shoes

a blanket, a fire, and hot coco
secure arms wrapped around you
your favorite comfort food
surrounded by your family and/or friends
I find comfort in those around me when I am insecure.
I find comfort that there is always tomorrow.
I find comfort knowing that everything happens for a reason.
I find comfort in smiling and laughing.
I find comfort in my blankie.
I find comfort with in my family and friends.
I find comfort because I know "he" has a plan for me.

Happy Birthday to You.!

Today is one of my best friends birthdays. Who would of thought that in 8th grade we would still be this close today. I am sure happy for that TLC teacher sitting us just one desk apart. Poor Skyler had to endure us for an entire quarter. I know to this day, he still hates us. Ooh well, we sure made a crazy bond in that class. Ooh the memories of growing up and the joys of high school. Boy problems, well mostly my boy problems. All the dances, card nights, ice cream runs, and other crazy adventures; we have had stuck together like peanut butter and honey. I wouldn’t have it any other way though, those were the best of times.!

Barnum, I am so grateful for our friendship. I love how no matter the distance or time between us, we pick up like nothing has ever changed! You have always been there for me, and I wouldn’t have made it this far without your support. I am so blessed to be able to call you a best friend.! I love you! And Tyson better damn well spoil the shit out of you, since I am not there to do it.
Love, Spafford.

Up, Up, and Away..

Tuesday, September 17: A memory you would love to relive.

I would give anything to have the feeling I get when I see Grandpa’s Hot Air Balloon rise up into the sky on a brisk holiday morning. The laughter in the families’ voices, the smiles on their faces, everyone bundled up trying to stay warm; it is a priceless moment. I miss the adventure of chasing the beautiful bright balloon all over the Salt Lake Valley. Sending the balloon up first thing Thanksgiving morning was always the best way to start the holiday season off. Christmas Eve was always my favorite though, sending up Santa in the Hot Air Balloon. The Chase Crew always there to pass out Candy Canes when Santa landed in neighborhood. The smiles we were able to see through out the years, made waking up worth every single moment. I miss the joy it brought to my family, the smiles, the pictures, the adventure, laughter, and fun. We all have a special spot in our hearts for Last Chance, and the balloons before it. I miss the beauty of the entire tradition we had. I even miss the crappy coffee or hot chocolate we got each time. I would give anything just to be able turn back time and see it fly one more time.
