Baseball Tee + Spiked Statement Necklace

I need to be honest; I never wear a statement necklace with my outfits. Actually I almost never wear a necklace period unless it is something that is really small. The last time I think I wore an actual statement necklace, was probably in high school. I have a few long and layer necklaces that I wear occasionally, but that is really rare too. I really just don’t wear necklaces to begin with, which is weird because I have always been drawn to them and I have a bunch of different ones from throughout the years in my cabinet.

I always find the most amazing outfit inspiration from either Pinterest or fellow bloggers. Just like Emily from The Sweetest Thing. I absolutely love following her blog, she puts such perfect outfits together and almost all of them (like the ones below) have a beautiful statement necklace that completes the outfit!"

I love Emily’s style and the way that she can incorporate a single necklace into multiple outfits! So, this inspired me to challenge myself into purchasing a necklace and wearing it a couple of different ways. If I am going to start incorporating necklaces into my daily style, then I have to have multiple outfits in which they will add that finishing touch too!

I went in search of a couple of statement necklaces. I found these amazing ones at Charming Charlie! Have I told you all how much I love that store? Well, I do! It is so awesome being able to go into a store that is not only color coordinated but has something to match every style!

I can’t wait to put together some more outfits to wear with my Statement Necklaces! I am challenging myself to pick atleast two outfits a week that coordinated with a statement necklace! Wish me luck!

Do you have any favorite Statement Necklaces you wear?

Navy + Maroon

Ruffles & Volume | The Creative Closet

I am so excited to be joining Jana and Maegan for The Creative Closet today. This by far has been one of my favorite link ups that I continue to participate in! With all of the fun ideas that both Jana and Maegan have come up with every week, it makes me get creative with the clothing I already have in my closet and dream about a few pieces I can't wait to add to it! It has really inspired me to come out of my comfort zone and try thing that I never would have before.

When I started blogging about fashion, I never realized how much my style is all over the place. It is a little bit girlie (okay, a lot) + a little bit bohemian + a dash of classic inspiration. So, when I read Ruffles and Volume on Jana and Maegan's list, I instantly knew I had to snag the spot.! It was perfect.!
Ruffles & Volume - Obey Sweatshirt + Bohme Skirt make a perfect fall outfit

I will admit, I didn't have a single outfit that has ruffles in my closet. But, I knew that I had the perfect idea of what I wanted to do for this week. I wanted an adorable skirt that I could pair with a sweater for fall and winter. It needed to have volume that added that girlie touch, to a comfy outfit. I wanted it to be darker in color, so it would pair perfectly with my fall and winter wardrobe. When I walked in Bohme a couple of weeks ago, I knew this was the exact skirt I had envisioned and I couldn't let it out of my hands.!

I decided to pair this skirt with a slouchy and comfy Obey sweatshirt, because I have a slight obsession with anything Obey. I couldn't help myself finish this outfit off with my favorite slouchy cowboy boots and my cream clutch.
(side note : If you don't own anything Obey, run don't walk to your nearest store and snatch something  from their fall collection up; you will not be disappointed I promise)

I am so happy that the crisp air has finally made its way into Southern Utah and I am able to wear all of my favorite + some new fall outfits like this very one.! I am so excited to see what everyone has put together for this week!

Lovely Layers

When fall finally hits the air, I love layering up my outfits! There is just something cute and cozy about layers! I think that is one of the reasons I love fall clothing so much! The Creative Closet's theme this week is Lovely Layers and since my photographer and I are on such opposite schedules lately, we didn't get together in enough time to shoot the outfit I had in mind for this week. So, since I can't share my outfit with you just yet. I thought I would share with you some of my favorite Lovely Layers inspiration from Pinterest!

The Creative Closet | Ankle Booties

These Boots Were Made For Walking - Life in the Sunshine Blog

I have to keep it short and sweet today.. Have a busy day ahead of me. I feel like I haven't linked up with Jana and Maegan for The Creative Closet in such a long time. Eeek! I love this link up and it really saddens me, but Ashley and I haven't been able to correspond our schedules the last couple of weeks. If you didn't already know; Ashley is my amazing photographer!

I had this outfit planned for entirely different post, but these booties that I picked up a couple of weeks ago at Forever Young Shoes were absolutely fitting for this today! I love them! They are super adorable and I love that they sit right above my ankles (:

I picked up my dress at a local Yard Sale sight, along with a bunch of other really fun articles that I can't wait to wear in the up coming seasons!

Romper + Floppy Fedora

I have been looking for to this week’s theme for The Creative Closet for so many reasons!

1. I have wanted to buy myself another Floppy Fedora Hat!
2. I found a Romper earlier this year and have been dying to wear it!
3. I loved all the fall colors within this outfit!
4. I couldn’t wait to wear my new booties!
5. Last, Ashley and I had the perfect idea where to take the pictures this week!

I have been in love with this Floppy Fedora Hat trend for a while now and I couldn’t wait to go and buy myself one! This week, obviously, was the perfect excuse to do so. When I walked into Buckle a few weeks back, I picked up this hat and fell in love. (I searched online to find you the exact one, but they don’t have it on their website! They do have some other adorable ones though. If you want this hat though, just walk into Buckle and ask them to look it up for you!)

I will be honest; I have been considering purchasing a romper since sometime in the spring. I just never got the guts to do so, because I was too afraid on the way it would look on me. I think personally, rompers are a hit or a miss. They either are perfect for your body or horrible, just because of the way they fit. I am sure glad that I decided to purchase this one a little while back. Because, it fits! I also love how comfortable it was and the fabric was really light. (FYI it was kind of weird to put on one single piece of clothing that wasn’t a dress, it played a mental trick on me for a few minutes)

I have to thank my amazing photographer! So, I had this mental image of the way I wanted these pictures. But, living in southern Utah kind of made that hard to fully capture. We don’t exactly have wheat/straw fields around here that we can just run into. Anyways, when we were out at the orchard, she found this perfect spot and I was in love. Even with the nasty pestering bugs, wet and incredibly itchy grass/weeds; she nailed this photo shoot, yet again.
