Baseball Tee + Spiked Statement Necklace

I need to be honest; I never wear a statement necklace with my outfits. Actually I almost never wear a necklace period unless it is something that is really small. The last time I think I wore an actual statement necklace, was probably in high school. I have a few long and layer necklaces that I wear occasionally, but that is really rare too. I really just don’t wear necklaces to begin with, which is weird because I have always been drawn to them and I have a bunch of different ones from throughout the years in my cabinet.

I always find the most amazing outfit inspiration from either Pinterest or fellow bloggers. Just like Emily from The Sweetest Thing. I absolutely love following her blog, she puts such perfect outfits together and almost all of them (like the ones below) have a beautiful statement necklace that completes the outfit!"

I love Emily’s style and the way that she can incorporate a single necklace into multiple outfits! So, this inspired me to challenge myself into purchasing a necklace and wearing it a couple of different ways. If I am going to start incorporating necklaces into my daily style, then I have to have multiple outfits in which they will add that finishing touch too!

I went in search of a couple of statement necklaces. I found these amazing ones at Charming Charlie! Have I told you all how much I love that store? Well, I do! It is so awesome being able to go into a store that is not only color coordinated but has something to match every style!

I can’t wait to put together some more outfits to wear with my Statement Necklaces! I am challenging myself to pick atleast two outfits a week that coordinated with a statement necklace! Wish me luck!

Navy + Maroon

Ruffles & Volume | The Creative Closet

I am so excited to be joining Jana and Maegan for The Creative Closet today. This by far has been one of my favorite link ups that I continue to participate in! With all of the fun ideas that both Jana and Maegan have come up with every week, it makes me get creative with the clothing I already have in my closet and dream about a few pieces I can't wait to add to it! It has really inspired me to come out of my comfort zone and try thing that I never would have before.

When I started blogging about fashion, I never realized how much my style is all over the place. It is a little bit girlie (okay, a lot) + a little bit bohemian + a dash of classic inspiration. So, when I read Ruffles and Volume on Jana and Maegan's list, I instantly knew I had to snag the spot.! It was perfect.!
Ruffles & Volume - Obey Sweatshirt + Bohme Skirt make a perfect fall outfit

I will admit, I didn't have a single outfit that has ruffles in my closet. But, I knew that I had the perfect idea of what I wanted to do for this week. I wanted an adorable skirt that I could pair with a sweater for fall and winter. It needed to have volume that added that girlie touch, to a comfy outfit. I wanted it to be darker in color, so it would pair perfectly with my fall and winter wardrobe. When I walked in Bohme a couple of weeks ago, I knew this was the exact skirt I had envisioned and I couldn't let it out of my hands.!

I decided to pair this skirt with a slouchy and comfy Obey sweatshirt, because I have a slight obsession with anything Obey. I couldn't help myself finish this outfit off with my favorite slouchy cowboy boots and my cream clutch.
(side note : If you don't own anything Obey, run don't walk to your nearest store and snatch something  from their fall collection up; you will not be disappointed I promise)

SUMMER + FEDORA

Floppy Fedora Hat - Life in the Sunshine

I know that I have said it before, but I am going to say it again, I love these floppy fedora hats that are super popular right now. I just love how fun they can be to pair with different outfits! They really do add the perfect finishing touch! Southern Utah still hasn’t decided that it is fall yet. So, I have to find ways to incorporate the hats that seem to keep accumulating in my closet – oops. I just can’t resist them.

When I have an entire list of errands to run during the day – I always opt for a comfy and simple outfit. There is no way that I could get all of my errands done in 5 inch heels and something uncomfortable. I would probably end up stopping half way through to go home. That just can’t happen when things have to get done. So, I went for this comfy oversize t-shirt and an old pair of denim shorts. I topped it off with my floppy fedora and an adorable shade of pink lipstick – ready to conquer that long list of items.

Lovely Layers

When fall finally hits the air, I love layering up my outfits! There is just something cute and cozy about layers! I think that is one of the reasons I love fall clothing so much! The Creative Closet's theme this week is Lovely Layers and since my photographer and I are on such opposite schedules lately, we didn't get together in enough time to shoot the outfit I had in mind for this week. So, since I can't share my outfit with you just yet. I thought I would share with you some of my favorite Lovely Layers inspiration from Pinterest!

Boyfriend Jeans + Blazers

When I signed up to become a Pure Romance consultant I knew that I wanted to find a couple of go-to outfits that were a bit more professional and business casual than what I would normally wear every day. I wanted to look clean and polished, yet still have the outfits scream that they were 100% my style! I would never wear them otherwise or I would at least never be myself while I was in them. So, of course, I turned to Pinterest and started searching for business casual outfits.

Business Casual

I loved that I came up with a million Ideas, but I really loved that a lot of the ones I fell in love with were done with boyfriend jeans. Score! I have this new obsession with them; they are so comfortable! I would totally want to dress those up any day!

After spending way more time than I should of looking online – I decided to throw a couple of options together and get everyone’s opinion. Do you think that they business casual outfits are dressy enough to have parties in, yet laid back enough to not feel like I was actually at work? I really do want a good balance of comfort and professionalism..

What's your opinion?
Have any ideas?
