Harlie, welcome to our family.! These last
few days have been so much fun having you in the house. You're absolutely
hilarious with how much energy you always have. You love having someone
play with you all the time and if we aren’t giving you the correct amount of
attention when you want it, you find the need to smack us with your toys. It's
like you’re saying "Hello, I’m ready to play.!" You also find it
hilarious to dig into your toy bin and pull out every single toy you
possibly have in there. Then when we attempt (yes I said attempt) to put
them back in the bin, you pull them all back out with in a second,
throwing them across the room. We sure do love you though and can't help
but just laugh as you do it. I think the best thing though is when you make me
chase you up and down the stairs, back and forth on the landing. You think it’s
hilarious and make me do it over and over and over again. I sure do love you,
even when you wear me out.

Thankful
November has to be one of my favorite times of the year. I think it is because it is really the true start of the Holiday season. Signs of holiday joy are always popping up through out the month. You start thinking and shopping for all the special people in your life. Best of all, I get to see all my family numerous times through out the next couple of months. I absolutely love the feeling and joy that the holiday season brings to me. Also, November is the time of the year where people actually think about the things in their lives that they have to be grateful for.! Even though we have something to be grateful for each and everyday of our lives. Anyways,, I thought it be appropriate to write down a few things each Thursday of what I am thankful for. So if you would like to join along with me, email me and I will throw a little link thing on my page next week. Love to have you join along!
-ONE- Family. I don't know what I would ever do without my family. They are the supporting rock that keeps me grounded and the wings that keep my spirits high. I am extremely blessed to have such a wonderful and supporting family. I know through thick and thin we will always be there for one another and the support that each other needs to fall into.
-TWO- Friends. It is never the quantity of friends, but the quality of friends that makes friendship wonderful. I can truly say that I have a wonderful group of friends that I can count on, lean on, learn with, and make memories. But you know what is even better; I have the absolute best friend a girl could ask for. She has and always will be there for me through absolutely everything. She is more than a friend, more than a bestie, she is my partner in crime and my sister.
-THREE- Home. I am grateful to have a roof that keeps me safe and sound every day and night. The best thing about it though; It's not a house but a home. Filled with memories, warmth, love, and security.
-FOUR- Sight. Being able to watch the sunrise on the way to work this morning was beautiful and its little things like that I take for granted each and every day.
-FIVE- Happiness. This is something that I never realized I would be grateful for. Until about a year ago, the feeling of happiness wasn't something that I thought was important. I mean of course you have your happy moments, but the feeling of waking up and being happy just because you are truly happy and content with life. It is such an amazing feeling that I am truly grateful for. It was quite the journey to finally be in a place of happiness, but now I am so grateful for all the trials that have gotten me here to this place in which I stand now. Happiness is such a wonderful feeling.!

20 Already,,, No Way.!
Happy Birthday Levi,
This is my not so little brother,
everyone. I have to be the luckiest sister in the world to have been blessed
with this little turd. We are each other’s best friends, partners in crime,
sidekicks, and protectors. We may have not always been like this, cause hello
we were terrors to each other growing up. Seriously though, in all truth, we
would do anything for each other.
There are times in my life where I never
thought you would make it to the age of 20; admit it, you’re walking accident
waiting to happen. I am so glad though, because you have made me laugh more
over the years, then a lot of other people combined. I will never forget the
times of waking up in the middle of the night to you sleep talking in the other
room. The times you sneak up on me and scare the living crap out of me, or when
you thought it would be funny to put a live mouse in my face with pliers. Looking
through old photos and coming across you in panty hose, still give me the best
laugh of them all..! Boy, you keep me on my toes.
I love you dearly though. I wouldn’t
have our relationship be any other way. I know you get mad at me for always
wanting pictures. Look now though, I have so many with such vivid fun memories
attached along the side of each and every one.
Words will never describe how much I love you and appreciate all the
wonderful things you do for me. All I can say, thank you a hundred times over
and I love you to itty bitty pieces.
Love always,
Your Big Sister

[Family
Story]
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all. I think
that is so true, because through the hardships of life you never know what is
coming your way. Then in a miracle, it doesn’t seem to matter; because your
family is there by your side and with them you can conquer anything that life
throws in your path.
This is how my parents met. Dad and his buddy followed Mom home one
night, scaring the crap out of her. Then she realized who it was and called him
every name in the book. After that they were inseparable, and married April 10,
1987. Dad had a daughter from his previous marriage, Torie, she was 10 at the
time. I came along 2 years later on August 28, 1989. The family moved to St.
George from the Salt Lake Valley when I was 2 and opened our family business.
My bother came October 1, 1993; 6 weeks before his due date, and was a fighter.
So here we are in 2013. Dad (Lynn), Mom (Marilyn), Torie (35), Myself (23), and
Levi (19); one big happy crazy funny family.
{Fun Facts about The Spafford's}
(1) My parents
are 14 years apart, and you would never know it. My dad looks soo young for his
age.
(2) Torie, Levi,
and Myself are splitting images of my father.
(3) We all
love the lake, travelling, photos, stories, and dessert; and buckle.
(4) All of us
at one point have worked, managed, or owned a part of the family business.
(5) We all
have iPhones except Levi. He is the odd man out.
(6) When we
have something good to share, we practically share it with whoever we can. We get
a tad bit excited. Just like my Grandma Spafford would when she would get
presents.
(7) We all
LOVE Disneyland and holidays a little too much
(8) We all
have experienced an earthquake in Costa Rica, and everyone except for Mom slept
through it.
(9) Christmas
and Birthday are all a little too out done in our house. We love spoiling each
other and celebrating.
(10) We all lose
things too easily. It’s actually quite hilarious.
The missing additions to our photo are.. Torie, Peanut, Kati, and Schev.
We dont have a picture with Torie and Peanut yet. We are planning on having pictures done soon though. The above picture is from our Crew Photo or our new building.
Kati and Schev, pretty much adopted into the family. Kati = My Bestie, Schev = Levi's Bestie (if i can call him that) even though these two aren't blood, they are part of our family. we love them the exact same and wouldn't imagine family without them.

you had my heart first.
Dear
Dad:
I want to start off by saying Thank You; for
everything you do for our family, our friends, our neighbors, those who
surround us, and myself. You have brought me up to believe in the generosity of
the heart and to always lend a helping hand when someone is reaching for one.
To have been able to watch you as you poured your heart and soul into helping
people has humbled me so much through out the years. It is the little moments
and things that you do, that make me so happy that I am the one who gets to
call you dad.
Your drive to succeed in life has made
me such a strong and independent woman. For that I thank you! I am so grateful
that you taught me to stand on my own to feet and take care of myself. Yet the
second I needed someone to cry too, you always lent out your should and a warm
embrace to help wipe away my tears. Such a strong man, with a soft spot for his
children has to be one of the most beautiful things in this entire world.
Through the up and downs we have had
over the years, I am grateful to have you as an example. A strong man who
doesn’t let fear or disappointment bring him down. You stay faithful and
strong. You have made me believe that love is everlasting; and no matter what I
deserve the very best in this world. The unconditional love you have for Mom
has taught me that someday My Prince Charming will come. He will treat me
right, and I will always be taken care of. My children will have parents to
look up too, and have a good example in their lives.
You are my hero. You are safe blanket.
You were the security I needed, and the embrace I sank to needing. You were my
first love. You are my hero. I love you; always and forever times infinity.
Much
Love,
Kenzie.

Early Mother's Day Getaway.
Hello Monday.
Its a rainy day here in the sunshine city.
I won't complain though, I do love rainy days.
Its time to link up with Sami for Weekend Shenanigans
My Sister Torie came down from Salt Lake City to celebrate Mother's Day with the family. I planned a little Mesquite Getaway for the family. We all really needed it and it was going to be a beautiful sunfilled weekend down in Nevada. Torie had decided she was going to BBQ for us on Friday night. Chicken, Steak, Veggies, and King Crab. Let me tell you. This girl can freakin BBQ. It was so good. I will have to admit, I may or may not have had a food baby belly going on after that dinner. It was the kind of dinner where you are so fully, but it is so delicious that you keep eating it until every piece of dinner cooked is gone. Thank you Torie for dinner, and thanks alot for not sharing the reciepe *cough* *cough*.
After dinner we were all craving ice cream, so we all jumped in the car and headed to Cold Stone.
and we wouldn't be the Spafford family without a dorky picture taken
Torie, Levi, Myself, and Dad. Mom was in the Bathroom.
Saturday Morning we were off to Mesquite.
After stopping and getting lunch at Kneaders.
Yes that is 2 desserts. I couldn't choose,
so I made the choice to not have to choose
Two is better than one right.?
Sitting by the pool felt so good.
Then we had dinner at Kathrine's
This was the outfit of the night
Dress & Blazer: Rock 'n' Rose
Zion Factory Outlets
Shoes: Forever Young Shoes
Red Cliffs Mall
Sunday:
Supercross and Pizza at Buca
Movie with the boys: Pain&Gain
Treats of the night.!
Little of the Weekend subject. Found this tattoo. Feel in Love, may or may not have to tell Kati we are going to get these ASAP! Perfect for us besties.
Well I hope everyone had a splended weekend.
Much Love, Kenzie.
