Words of Wisdom Wednesday : Friendship

{Sometimes you put walls up not to keep people out,
but to see who cares enough to break them down.}
Friendship: a relationship of mutual affection between two or more people. Friendship is a stronger from of interpersonal bond than an association. A World Happiness Database study found that people with close friendships are happier.
Childhood friendships were about toys, and family creating playtime. We grow older and once we become Adolescence the people we surround ourselves with are those who act the same, are into the same activities, or friends that we grew up with. Adulthood; graduation, marriage, parenthood, and careers can drift apart some of those friendship that you thought were so strong. The time in life that vulnerabilities and quirks mark or break friendships. This though is the time, when true Friendship Bonds occur and your term “Friends for Life” really comes into play. Old Age hits us faster than we expect and responsibilities become less and less, pressures of the world seem a little less significant; friendship is what you have to lean on. Friendship is important for a person’s well-being. Sometimes there are just those times when you need nothing more than a friend.

Even though we’ve changed and we’re all finding our own place in the world, we all know that when the tears fall or the smile spread across our face, we’ll come to each other because no matter where this crazy world takes us, nothing will ever change so much to the point where we’re not all still friends.

Welcome Baby.. Royal Baby

Prince William and Duchess Kate welcomed their first child into the world yesterday. A baby boy to be exact, whose name has yet to be released, Kate was said to have had a natural delivery in London’s St. Mary’s Hospital at 4:24 pm yesterday. The baby boy came into this world weighing 8lbs and 6oz. I think it is pretty cool that The Prince was born in the same hospital as his father and uncle.
Princes Charles and Duchess Camilla said “Both my wife and I are overjoyed at the arrival of my first grandchild. It is an incredibly special moment for William and Catherine and we are so thrilled for them on the birth of their baby boy.” “Grandparenthood is a unique moment in anyone’s life, as countless people have told me in recent months, so I am enormously proud and happy to be a grandfather for the first time and we are eagerly looking forward to seeing the baby in the near future.”
Now time for the name game..What do you think it will be.? Something Classic or Something New.? Ooh I can’t wait, but I sure hope they don’t take 7 days like Princess Diana did.
Congratulations William and Kate.!
Much Love, Kenzie.

Weekend Shenanigans

Since I was home sick yesterday, I didn't pay much attention to see if my post had actually published. I had done it through my phone, and it didn't, so here is yesterdays post a day late :)
Saturday night a group of us went to Tuacahn to see Throughly Modern Millie. If you know me, you know I love plays. This was so fun to watch, and of course I loved all the 20 era outfits. It was such a fun night of meeting new friends, having new adventures, and enjoying it all with my little bro. I love how close we are, and how we always do things together. Nothing better than that.!

The on Sunday, it was a nice relaxing day. While growing up we as a family always used to do ear candles in each other. So when Mom came home with two bags, I, of course had to do one on her and see all the gunk that it pulled out haha.!

Well I hope that everyone has a wonderful Monday.!
Much love, Kenzie.

Crazy Thing Called LiFE.!

I can't believe just how crazy life gets sometimes.! One second you can enjoy and breath, and the next, your running around like a chicken with your head cut off. I feel like I have been less and less engaged in blogging lately, due to my crazy busy life. I promise though. I will update everyone as soon as I get sometime. Life is a beautiful yet crazy whirlwind, and we are just along for the ride.

Words of Wisdom Wednesday : Life of No Regrets

Today’s Topic: Live a Life of No Regrets

As I sat here pondering what I wanted to write about for my Words of Wisdom Wednesday, I kept thinking about something I had come across just recently. “The best advice I ever received? Simple: Have no regrets. Who gave me the advice? Mum’s the word.” – Richard Branson, Founder of Virgin Group. I really have started living by that, because I never want to wake up one day and regret that I simple did or didn’t do what I wanted. Branson also said in that interview, “If you asked every person in the world who gave them their best advice, it is a safe bet that most would say it was their mother. I am no exception. My mother has taught me many valuable lessons that have helped shaped my life. But having no regrets stand out above all others, because it has informed every aspect of my life and every business decision we have ever made.”

I started thinking about my past, and where it has leaded me too at this point in my life. I am who I am because of it, but I also wouldn’t be where I am if I didn’t learn from mistakes I made in it. I want to never regret the decisions I make or have made; as long as I learn from them, how can I? When everything went south with my last relationship, and I loved home. I found these steps on line, and I personally really like them. How To Live Life With No Regrets. It as simple as the following 13 steps.
 1) Forgive yourself. Everyone makes terrible choices and past mistakes. You can only try to repair and/or learn from them.
2) Start with your relationships. All the people in your life have something to teach you. Take one person in your life at a time and make a list of what they can educate you in. For example, your grandfather might teach you about history or the stock market or football. Your mother could teach you about cooking or some other interest. Even if what they know does not interest you-take the time and try to learn from everyone. Value them.
3) Make sure the people in your life know how much you care and love them. Tell them and show it to them in different ways.
4) Appreciate what you have. Write down 10 gifts (not material things) that you have been given. Post it somewhere you can see it every day.
5) Change any habits that hurt your body. Consuming too much sugar and fat in food, alcohol, drugs and lack of exercise and sleep will slowly kill you. When you are young, it is hard to understand how it can catch up to you when you are older. But it will. Count on it.
6) Stop if you have been abusive, dishonest, neglectful or cruel to any person or animal. Stop. Make amends. It takes a strong person to say "I am sorry, forgive me." However, if the person wants nothing to do with you, back away and write them a letter to beg forgiveness. Healing takes time. They might never want to deal with you again but at least you were responsible for your past actions.
7) Realize that life is messy and it is better to be open to change. You will be a happier and more relaxed human being.
8) Focus more on relationships and interests and less on material things. If you spend your whole life worrying about your appearance or material goods, there will be deep regrets on what you did not pay attention to in life.
9)Remember to avoid giving your time to people or activities that are worthless in the long run. If you are in an abusive relationship - get out. If you can't get out-report them to other people or the law. You are wasting your life so try to go towards people and activities that make you feel fulfilled and happy.
10)Spend as much time with your children as you can. Buying them (your children) things is not the same as just hanging out with them. Pay attention to the small things that they like. Try to accept them as the valuable people that they are.
11) Wishing for what might have been is silly. Accept what you have and be grateful.
12)Treat your mate in life like gold. Even your Ex, Don't fight over money as relationships are more important.
13)Realize that the world is made to fit all types of people, and everybody has a place somewhere to make a change. To start looking for a tomorrow, you must forget the past. The reasons are more important than the events. When you fight for your happiness, nothing can get in the way.
Now I realize that not all of these fit into my life right now, but I believe they will at some point in my life. When they fit into my life, I will be grateful that I have these guidelines to help me through life. (If you read the steps on the internet, you will see the I have fixed some of the grammar, whoever put it on the webpage obviously didn’t have spell check.. Yikes!)

So my question to YOU is this; “Are you living A Life of No Regrets?”
Next question; what is the Best Advice You've Received?
I really do want to hear from you Readers and Followers…
Cause, I would love to post about the best advice you've received.
Much Love, Kenzie.

You Named Your Baby What..?

Alright, I’m going to say it.
Thank goodness it’s not just Utahan’s that come up with these “creative” names for the children they bring into the world.
Now I love being creative with baby names, but sometimes I just look at people and have to ask
“Why; in the world would you ever name your child that.?”

thank you pinterest for this picture.

msn wonderwall for all these pictures
For starters;
NORTH WEST or DAISY BOO PAMELA
Sadly, it isn’t the first nor the last time that a celebrity will name their child something that is so unfortunate.
Let’s take a look at some other ones.
Pink and Carey Hart her husband chose WILLOW SAGE HART for their daughter. I actually love Willow & Sage. Willow was chosen to because Pink grew up near a Willow Tree and likes that they are resilient in nature, Sage was chosen because it means cleansing.
Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy, her fiancĂ© named their baby boy BINGHAM or Bing for short. Bingham is an important family name for both Matt and Kate, and Kate’s mother Hawn. To me it’s a beautiful thing to keep a family name going strong, whether it is a first or middle name.
Nicole Richey and Joel Madden named their two children HARLOW WINTER KATE & SPARROW JAMES MIDNIGHT MADDEN. I honestly love the name Harlow and Sparrow. Harlow is a nod to classic Hollywood, Jean Harlow and Shalom Harlow are the two inspirations for the name the couple decided on. Sparrow reminded Nicole of Captain Sparrow, and it reminds Joel of the Johnny Cash song, “A Boy Names Sue.”
Victoria Beckham and David Beckham chose HARPER SEVEN BECKHAM. Harper was chosen because of the love that Victoria has for old English Names. Seven was chosen because its meaning for the family, David’s Manchester United’s Jersey is number 7, then too top it off Harper was born on the 7th month on the 7th day, in the 7th hour. So it just fit perfectly. I love the name Harper, just so adorable.
Jessica Alba and Cash Warren have named their two girls HONOR MARIE WARREN & HAVEN GARNER WARREN. I love that they both start with the letter “H” and the names they have chosen for their girls have meaning behind it. Like Honor Marie was named after the Virtue, and Haven Garner was named after she was born in her amniotic sac. Cash said, “She was born in her safe haven.”
Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied named their son ALEPH MILLEPIED. I honestly saw the name, and wondered what in the world. Where did that come from, but come to find out it is the first letter in the Hebrew language, and it also means number one in Hebrew. I think it a cool story as to why you named your child something out of the norm.
Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick named their little boy MASON DASH DISICK. Mason is a pretty normal name, and I love it. Dash actually comes from when Kourtney learned her uncle used the name when making dinner reservations, because Kardashian was too difficult. So Dash was chosen as a trible to her last name and her dad’s nickname. I think it is really cool, and he is adorable.!
Jamie Oliver and Juliette Norton have by far I think exceeded the unusual names for their four children. Ready for it, are you sure, ok here they are DAISY BOO PAMELA, POPPY HONEY ROSIE, PETAL BLOSSOM RAINBOW AND BUDDY BEAR MAURICE OLIVER.  There you have it folks. The most unusual odd names you can give your children, by far. Poor, poor, poor children is all I have to say for these ones.
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon names their two precious twins MOROCCAN AND MONROE CANNON. Moroccan Scott is names after the room in Mariah’s New York apartment, where Nick proposed to her. Scott is actually Nick’s middle name and his grandmother’s maiden name. I think it amazing that they can share that special meaning of the day where he asked her to be his wife, through their child’s name. Monroe Cannon is names after Marilyn Monroe, who is Mariah’s business inspiration. Monroe doesn’t have a middle name because she is keeping the tradition of her mother, Mariah, not having one.
Kim Kardashian and Kayne West named their daughter NORTH WEST; named after GPS coordinates. Like really, why? I can handle some off the wall names, but North West. I don’t mind the first name, yes it is unusual, but when you throw West on the end. Come on.! Really!
What do you think? Would you ever name your kid some of these unusual names??
Much Love, Kenzie.

Weekend Away..

This weekend was spent in the Salt Lake Valley.
Melanie had her Bridal Shower,
and we celebrated Torie's birthday at Tepenyaki

Tepanyaki - Jordan Landing
which is a Japanese Steak House
Celebrating a Birthday = Saki Bomb's
Torie = Rookie
 1) Smile for the camera before the Saki Bombs
2) Saki goes in, down it.
3) Chug, love Torie's face!
4) After affect.. Mind you, this is my 4th or 5th and Torie's 2nd.
If you follow me, you know by now how obsessed I am with the sky after a rain storm. I think the clouds are always so beautiful, and the contrast in the sky is unreal. I snapped this shot right out of Beaver, Utah.
Levi, couldn't hold it anymore and made me pull over. I couldn't stop laughing. I just had too do it, and he will probably be mad at me for a while, but ooh well. Good one, for his wedding day, right.?
Well I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.
Back to the grind of work..
much love, kenzie.
