winter.. winter.. oh winter.

Yes.. I have been told about winter here in North Dakota. I just haven't truly experienced one of the famous North Dakota winters yet... I have a feeling though this year, I will have my first. We have already had our first big snow fall this year, the wonderful winter storm names Brutus. Now it wasn't as much as they were saying it was, but then again it hasn't full passed over us yet either. I was looking online for some pictures of what I was intel for and I have been amazed at some of the pictures that I have come across. Ugh, I will not be afraid to say that I just may freeze, cry, throw a temper tantrum, stop my feet, and cry some more. I am scared to see what this winter has in store for me. If it is as bad as I have been told, I will wanna cry everyday. I thought I would just share what I may be in store for me this year.

Yes, The kind you could potentially skate on.

The scary kind that freezes under the snow

The kind that freezes on your car, makes it impossible to get in.

The kind you slip and fall on,

The kind that makes it scary to walk outside.

The kind you secretly love to slide on and scared at the same time.

Yes, the kind where you have to dress like this just to walk outside and still freeze down to the bone deep in your body.

I can officially say.. I may be a little scared if this is what I have in store for me.

So please pray for me, I need some St. George sunshine.

ICE CASTLES

I was so excited 

and scared out of my mind 

to get on ice skates for the first time 

ever in my life.

I have always wanted to do it.

Just never did it. 

So while everyone was in town this weekend,

Kelly thought we should do it.

Now I cant wait to try again.

Plus I am proud of myself,

I did not fall once.

Talk about gold stars for me!

I can say that I give a heck of a lot of credit,

to the figure skaters, hockey players, and 

everyone else who uses this thing on a daily basis.

I am jealous of how easy you make it look,

Cause it is a lot more hard then I thought it would be.

I did walk aways with a bruise though,

from the skates being so freaking tight.

ugh, no pain, no gain.. right?

Chili and Cornbread Heaven.

Since the temperature has been dropping lately, I have been craving to make some homemade chili and cornbread. Searching the Internet for some really good recipes, since last time I made chili the recipe wasn't all that it cracked up to be. It was more of a taco soup type of soup then a good hearty meaty chili. Here are a few of the recipes that I have come across that sound ooh so delicious. I cant wait to make some chili and cornbread tomorrow!

You can never go wrong with a Dean's recipe. My mom loves to make Paula Dean or any of the Dean's recipes because they are always good. I have this recipe in my cookbook but I haven't tried it yet. If its from a Dean, it has to be good. Right?

 they never fail when it comes to flavor in a dish.

Chicken Noodle Soup

I remember growing up

 soon as fall weather was in the air

mom would make a huge batch of this yummy stuff.

It was always the one of the biggest hits in our house.

I haven't made it since I moved out,

and guess what it got cold this week!

When the girls decided to do a girls night,

I knew it was the perfect opportunity to pull out the crock pot,

whip up a delicious batch of this good stuff.

Curl up on the couch and have a lazy girls night.

I hope the girls get here soon cause I keep sneaking more of it.

I have to say that I am pretty proud of myself,

this is the first all from scratch batch :)

Days with Little Miss..

I have been able to spend the last few days with this little munchkin.. 

I love being able to spend time with her.

 It sure makes me miss all of Brecken's nieces and nephews at home so much more though.

 I love being able to watch her grow up and get so excited when I am the one who comes to get her from Daycare. She jumps up from where ever and just runs to "Annt Tensy", I just cant get enough. 

Oooh this makes me so excited for the days when I get to have my own little family, 

and the little one running toward me calls me Mommy.!

Long Luxurious Locks

I have really been missing my LONG LONG hair today and this last week,, 

Why oh Why did I ever get this idea to cut it all off?? 

Ugh, seeing pictures like this all over my Pinterest makes me wish 

I could wake up with long hair... Like tomorrow.

I am so envious of these girls and their long locks.. They are gorgeous!

Vegas Babyyy..

Vegas ... Its amazing growing up how I could care less that you were just a short trip away. Now that I live so far away from you, I love the opportunity to spend a few days here in Sin City. Sunshine and Shopping are weakness' of mine and you of course have to have great sources to both. I truly enjoyed my visit and glad that I had a few great pictures out of it. I had the chance to eat P.F. Changs for the first time in my life, and I must say that it is quite delicious. I will probably be craving it for sometime, I don't think I can recall the last time that I have had that good of Beef & Broccoli before; and not to mention their sauce that comes with the spring rolls; oh and last but not least the egg drop soup. Lets just say that i enjoyed it a lot.
