J.B.C Part 6

[First Job & First Love]
I have worked my entire life at the Cleaners with my parents until I moved to ND. I always had a side job being a Nanny for the kids across the street, I loved it. Now that I am back from ND, I can say that working at the Cleaners has a whole new meaning. I absolutely love everything about it, and I do have those days; where I wonder what the hell I am doing. I love it though, and I can't wait one day to day over this legacy that my parents started. Keep the tradition of what we do going and always provide the service that our town has come to expect from us over the last 20 years. I am grateful that I was able to have been brought up in my parents business, it really gives me an appreciation for hard work and respect.
First Love, I always thought in high school that one of my relationships was my first love. That was until I met my last boyfriend, he definitely was my first love. They say your first heartbreak is the hardest to get over, and I can agree on that. I have never been through the kind of heartache like I experience with this last breakup, but time heals all wounds. It really is amazing the kind of strength and self worth I have come out with through out all of this though. I am glad that I went through what I did, because it has made me into a much stronger person. I can honestly say now, I know what kind of relationship I want. I know the kind of man I want for a future husband, the father I want for my future children, and the man I want by my side throughout my entire life here on earth. A first love will hold a special place in your heart, but the love of your life will completely over take that and make the heartache you felt at one time, like a sliver in your finger.

June Blog Challenge Part 5

[Wedding & Anniversary] I don’t know any girl, that hasn’t at least thought about their future wedding. I’ve always dreamed a few themes. Vintage Carnival, Vintage Travel, or Bright Bright Bright; and my Pinterest Board says it all.

I think my perfect anniversary would be one where my husband just surprises me with a little getaway vacation that is just the two of us. A night away, a weekend away, a week or two away; as long as it’s just us.

goodbye weekend, hello work week

The first weekend I had off in a month wasn’t all that eventful; which I was grateful for. I really just wanted to relax on Saturday, sleep in and enjoy doing absolutely nothing. That is exactly what I did. I slept in, was lazy all day, I then got ready to go to Mesquite with the family for dinner. Came home, and did nothing once again. It was so nice to just relax and enjoy a day off.
Sunday cam around and I had been planning one of my employees baby shower. I love planning little parties, it’s always fun for me to be able to get all creative and put my mind into event planner gear. I really love doing it. I would do it for a living, if it wouldn’t take every weekend of my year away from me. At the baby shower, I played with McCall. She is our night girls little one, she is absolutely adorable! If you can’t tell for yourself! The faces that she pulls are priceless.. I can’t wait to have a little family of my own someday. I take enough photos of the kids around me, I’m sure I will be one of those Mom’s with a camera in her hand at all times.
After the shower, I headed out to the lake to meet up with my little bro. Him and his friends, it was a fun little short trip. Once we got out there, it took only an hour before it was so windy and choppy that the lake became no fun anymore. So we loaded up, and headed for Café Rio. This place currently has my heart; I am totally craving it all the time. Which is weird, but I hate to admit it; once upon a time I didn’t love Café Rio as much as everyone else. Now I am addicted and want it whenever I can possibly get my hands on it.
I do have something non weekend relevant to share. I have always believed that when you finally start putting your life into the hands of god, and just let him take it where it needs to go. That is when the best things happen. Well, I can finally say that after sometime of trying to get myself on a better track, health and all well. I am smiling for no reason again. I have come to terms with some much in my life, and place what happens in the hands of our father in heaven. I am finally in a happy place, and am currently content with what I am faced with, and what I have gone through in the last few months. Everything happens for a reason right.?

J.B.C Part 4

[Labor and SAHM] First things First, I want to enjoy my labor. I want to be able to relax, and also I would like to leave the hospital not saying I will never have another child. So drugs, yes. I am too much of a panty weight to not do it without them anyways. I know though, I will have to turn around and never look at that needle. Give me the creeps even thinking about it right now.

SAHM – aka. Stay at Home Mom. I would love to be a stay home mom while my children are growing up. If I have to work, which in this economy, day, and age; I most likely will. I would love to be able to drop off my kids to school, and pick them up, or be at home when they arrive. That would be idealistic. I want to be able to enjoy my children’s childhoods and savor all the simple moments of being a mom. Plus, I want to be there for all their “firsts”.

[skipping - How supportive is your SO in your TTC journey? & How do you help get yourself (and or SO) get in the mood to DTD during the fertile period? – I am not pregnant or trying]

being at home means i would get too enjoy moments like this above

friday's letters

Friday has finally arrived everyone.
I don’t know about anyone else,
Seemed like this week took forever to go by.
I am so happy that the weekend has finally come,
I finally get a whole weekend off.
Hasn’t happened for me in a while.

Friday means,
I am linking up with Ashley

Dear Followers: most of you already know that summer is by far my favorite season. Have I told you why though? The days are long and the nights are short. The sun kissed look of the people who surround me; laughter in the children’s voices, as they play at the splash pads; the spontaneous adventures that you have with your friends; summer outfits, swimsuits, water, and drinks; and of course snow cones, ice cream, iced tea, iced coffee, slurpies, and lime-aids. There is nothing better than the fun activities that come along with the warm weather of summer. No better memories, then the ones made at the lake, beach, summer vacations, and long nights. One of the reason’s I enjoy working so hard, is so that when summer comes around; I can enjoy it. I love being able to take in the outside weather as much as I possibly can. So when I get a chance to leave work early, or take a day off; you can bet I will jump at the opportunity of doing so. Just so I can have myself a little summer fun. So here is too summer fun.! Cheers everyone, have a wonderful weekend!

J.B.C. Part 2

[Car – Current VS Dream]
“Money may not buy Happiness, but I’d rather cry in a Jaguar than in a bus.”
So I always have loved these two cars.
A Porsche Cayenne and Range Rover Sport, now I would take either one;
but if you know me, I am a truck girl all the way.
Sadly, I don’t want to have to choose between the Truck and the SUV.
Hopefully one day I will have worked hard enough to be able to have both of them.

[Biggest Indulgence] easy, shopping.
[Favorite Snack]
I don’t think I have a favorite snack per say,
but if I walk into a cupcake shop I can’t walk out without one, or two.
I also crave ice cream on a weekly basis, and i think Starbucks takes most of my extra money.

[Pets]
Our family has (5) dogs. Yep, 5; Cougar (Lab), Diamond, Buggies, Callie, and Maddi (Beagles). Then we have Patches our cat, who only like our Dad. Chickens, and Goats; if you consider them pets. I want a Morkie really bad though.

Words of Wisdom Wednesday

“Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, or worn.
It is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace & gratitude.”
 - Denis Waitley
When we first talked to each other
I knew we would always be friends.
Our friendship has kept on growing
And I'll be here for you to the end.

You listen when I have a problem
And help dry the tears from my face.
You take away my sorrow
And put happiness in its place.

We can't forget the fun we've had
Laughing 'til our faces turn blue.
Talking of things only we find funny
People think we're insane-If they only knew!

I guess this is my way of saying thanks
For catching me when I fall.
Thanks once again for being such a good friend
And being here with me through it all.

Family Story.

June Blogging Challenge

I really like these blogging challenges, because it always gets my mind rolling. I also don’t mind if I skip a day or two because I have something else that I would rather blog about. That is the beauty of it being my own personal blog. I can do whatever the heck I want too. So here it goes. The June Blogging Challenge.

1.Family story - how did your parents meet, how many brothers/sisters, tell us what you want.
2. What do you drive? What is you dream car?
3. Biggest indulgence
4. Favorite snack?
5. Do you have any pets?
6. Name you picked out for your kids when you were younger. Bonus: share any name ideas you have now
7. You're in labor: drugs or no drugs. Why?
8. If you had a choice - SAHM?
9. How supportive is your SO in your TTC journey?
10. How do you help get yourself (and or SO) get in the mood to DTD during the fertile period?
11. Describe your wedding.
12. Perfect anniversary - describe it.
13. What's the most interesting vacation you have been on?
14. First job
15. First love
16. What did you have for breakfast today? What do you normally have?
17. Do you drink coffee? Cream/sugar/how do you drink your coffee?
18. If your insurance covered infertility treatments at 100%, unlimited attempts - what would you try and for how long?

So I am going to start with the first few and then catch up throughout the month.

[Family Story]
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all. I think that is so true, because through the hardships of life you never know what is coming your way. Then in a miracle, it doesn’t seem to matter; because your family is there by your side and with them you can conquer anything that life throws in your path.
This is how my parents met. Dad and his buddy followed Mom home one night, scaring the crap out of her. Then she realized who it was and called him every name in the book. After that they were inseparable, and married April 10, 1987. Dad had a daughter from his previous marriage, Torie, she was 10 at the time. I came along 2 years later on August 28, 1989. The family moved to St. George from the Salt Lake Valley when I was 2 and opened our family business. My bother came October 1, 1993; 6 weeks before his due date, and was a fighter. So here we are in 2013. Dad (Lynn), Mom (Marilyn), Torie (35), Myself (23), and Levi (19); one big happy crazy funny family.
{Fun Facts about The Spafford's}

(1)     My parents are 14 years apart, and you would never know it. My dad looks soo young for his age.

(2)     Torie, Levi, and Myself are splitting images of my father.

(3)     We all love the lake, travelling, photos, stories, and dessert; and buckle.

(4)     All of us at one point have worked, managed, or owned a part of the family business.

(5)     We all have iPhones except Levi. He is the odd man out.

(6)     When we have something good to share, we practically share it with whoever we can. We get a tad bit excited. Just like my Grandma Spafford would when she would get presents.

(7)     We all LOVE Disneyland and holidays a little too much

(8)     We all have experienced an earthquake in Costa Rica, and everyone except for Mom slept through it.

(9)     Christmas and Birthday are all a little too out done in our house. We love spoiling each other and celebrating.

(10) We all lose things too easily. It’s actually quite hilarious.

The missing additions to our photo are.. Torie, Peanut, Kati, and Schev.
We dont have a picture with Torie and Peanut yet. We are planning on having pictures done soon though. The above picture is from our Crew Photo or our new building.
Kati and Schev, pretty much adopted into the family. Kati = My Bestie, Schev = Levi's Bestie (if i can call him that) even though these two aren't blood, they are part of our family. we love them the exact same and wouldn't imagine family without them.

you had my heart first.

Dear Dad:

I want to start off by saying Thank You; for everything you do for our family, our friends, our neighbors, those who surround us, and myself. You have brought me up to believe in the generosity of the heart and to always lend a helping hand when someone is reaching for one. To have been able to watch you as you poured your heart and soul into helping people has humbled me so much through out the years. It is the little moments and things that you do, that make me so happy that I am the one who gets to call you dad.
Your drive to succeed in life has made me such a strong and independent woman. For that I thank you! I am so grateful that you taught me to stand on my own to feet and take care of myself. Yet the second I needed someone to cry too, you always lent out your should and a warm embrace to help wipe away my tears. Such a strong man, with a soft spot for his children has to be one of the most beautiful things in this entire world.
Through the up and downs we have had over the years, I am grateful to have you as an example. A strong man who doesn’t let fear or disappointment bring him down. You stay faithful and strong. You have made me believe that love is everlasting; and no matter what I deserve the very best in this world. The unconditional love you have for Mom has taught me that someday My Prince Charming will come. He will treat me right, and I will always be taken care of. My children will have parents to look up too, and have a good example in their lives.
You are my hero. You are safe blanket. You were the security I needed, and the embrace I sank to needing. You were my first love. You are my hero. I love you; always and forever times infinity.

Much Love,
Kenzie.

Though, your black interior and exterior is killer in this heat. Dear Revenge: I finally have caught up to the end of Season 2, and I am so extremley shocked to see what happened to Declan. The show will just not be the same without you, and I am so sad for Charolette. Aweee.. Why do I get so attached to shows..? Dear Pretty Little Liars: I am sooooo happy your back, and of course I watched the Season Finale. What the heck, A Pig.! The phone in the casket. The American Girl look alike dolls.! Red Jacket.! I do.! Ahhh, I get so sucked into that show.. and yes, I hate waiting each and every week for.! End of Story. Dear Followers: I hope you have a wonderful weekend and get to play out in the beautiful sunshine, if mother nature will play in your favor in whichever city you reside in.
